What will YOU do with 2022?
Happy New Year! What a blessing that God has given us to cross over from 2021 to 2022. Many were not fortunate to see another day, let alone another year, and even so we are here. It is common to hear people ask, “What are your New Year’s Resolutions?” If you are like me, you will start to ponder all the past resolutions you have made and not fulfilled. Instead of coming up with resolutions, how about taking a moment to assess those resolutions you made and work toward solutions? Where are you right at this moment and where do you wish to be? Every day God gives us is a day to glorify Him and be intentional about His purpose and plan for your life! Life is but a vapor; it is not promised to any of us. The Bible reminds us in James 4:14, “For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.”
What will you do with 2022? Will you invest in yourself and be intentional about your self-care, health, time and relationships? Will you protect yourself from toxicity and unhealthy boundaries? Will you take a moment to evaluate where you are, who is in your life and what healing or cutting off needs to be done to support your growth? Do you want to GROW? If so, what are you doing to be intentional about your growth? Summing up James 2: 24;26, “You see that by works a man is justified, not by faith only…for the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” This not only true as we seek jobs, relationships, stability, finances or aspire in life, but also in our spiritual growth. YOU CAN DO IT! You have to Not just want it…Not just believe it…YOU must put action with your Faith! True faith is found in Jesus Christ!
True faith is to know that regardless of what circumstances you face in life, loss, death, temptations, and suffering God will work everything out for you. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, it is the evidence of things not seen and without it we cannot please God, the Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:1;6). In other words, “Faith is what you can see when you cannot see!” God is Faithful and will Reward all of those who seek Him, therefore, be intentional about your 2022 and make sure God is in it! Best way to start your 2022 is to be a Child of God and start Living out His Purpose for your Life. If you have left God and your faith is lacking, come home! Be intentional in your return and growth in Him, because He wants you back and is willing to do more in your life than you can imagine (Ephesians 3:20).
